Working in Indian Country

There are many opportunities to become involved in strengthening tribal nations. NCAI’s resources serve as a starting point for researching the range of opportunities that exist.

Internships & Fellowships
Many young adults and individuals wanting to work on American Indian and Alaska Native issues for the first time, look to internships and fellowships as a great starting point.  NCAI’s offers fellowships and internships throughout the year and all are encouraged to apply. Also, we’ve provided a set of links to other internships and fellowship opportunities in our Native Youth section.

Job Listings
There are a wide range of opportunities to work in full-time or part-time positions. NCAI’s general job listings provide a great starting point to find out what’s available - whether it be working directly for a tribal nation or working for a state or federal government agency, a non-profit or a tribal enterprise, a law firm or an advocacy group. Additionally, NCAI’s own job listings offer a direct way to work to advance the efforts of NCAI and our members.
