Office of Indian Education's State Tribal Education Partnership program

Tribal Consultation Date: February 11, 2020

On January 11, 2019, the U.S. Department of Education (ED) released a notice of tribal consultations on the Office of Indian Education's State Tribal Education Partnership (STEP) program under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965. The Office of Elementary of Secondary Education (OESE) will consult with elected officials of federally recognized tribal nations to ensure that their views inform OESE's policy decisions related to the definitions, priorities, selection criteria, and requirements that will govern future competitions under the current statutory authority.

 

OESE will host tribal consultations at the following locations on the following date and time:
