On January 11\, 2019\, the U.S. Department o
f Education (ED) released a notice of tribal consultations on the Office of
Indian Education'\;s State Tribal Education Partnership (STEP) program&
nbsp\;under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965. \;The O
ffice of Elementary of Secondary Education (OESE) will consult with elected
officials of federally recognized tribal nations to ensure that their view
s inform OESE'\;s policy decisions related to the definitions\, prioriti
es\, selection criteria\, and requirements that will govern future competit
ions under the current statutory authority. \n \n OESE will host tribal consultations at the following locations on the
