Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe

The Port Gamble S’Klallam Reservation consists of approximately 1,700 acres of land held in trust by the federal government. Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe has 1,234 enrolled tribal members – more than half of whom live on the reservation and many other live adjacent to the reservation. According to the U.S. Census, the reservation and off-reservation trust land has a population of 560 and is 75 percent Indian and 25 percent non-Indian. The Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribal Court has jurisdiction over criminal, civil and juvenile matters. Appeals are heard by a three-judge Court of Appeals. The Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe received a $184,371 grant from OVW in 2016 and a $445,037 grant in 2018 to support the exercise of SDVCJ.
