NCAI Youth Commission Statement on George Floyd

“We are heartbroken by the loss of George Floyd. We are astonished at the continued acts of violence by law enforcement towards people of color.

As the upcoming leaders of our communities, we have an obligation to instill a safe and thriving future for our next generations. Tragically, we have seen this ugliness find its way to our people and into our communities. In this time, we encourage unity and want to bring greater attention to these issues that plague our everyday lives. We need to be a voice for the voiceless.”
