Please join us on Friday, May 29, 2020 from 12-1 p.m. EDT (UTC -4) to discuss the challenges faced by Native American communities with regard to their participation in local, state and federal elections.
These challenges are likely to be exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
As we enter the final months before the November 2020 elections, this roundtable will explore the continued barriers to Native American participation, including those posed by the pandemic, as well as key policy recommendations for promoting and protecting the electoral rights of Native Americans.
Our guests include:
- Kim Wyman, Washington Secretary of State
- Ruth Anna Buffalo, North Dakota House of Representatives District 27
- Natalie Landreth, Native American Rights Fund
- Tammy Patrick, Democracy Fund
The Carter Center's Avery Davis-Roberts will moderate the discussion.
Forum members may participate in the live chat and questions will be passed along to the panel. Register for a membership by clicking 'Join The Community' at top right.
