About the Event:
You are invited to the Museum’s annual event, the 2019 Native American Trade Feast. This free event will take place on Saturday, September 14th , from 11 am-5 pm. Sponsored by the Museum of the American Indian?, the Trade Feast will be located at Miwok Park, 2200 Novato Blvd., Novato. 94947. Parking will be available off site at the Lutheran Church. https://www.marinindian.com, 415-897-4064 Featured at the event will be Native American arts and crafts including Buffy Smith, Monique Sonoquie, Bear Yurok Designs, Una Harding, Becky Olvera Schultz, Karen & Michael’s Specialty Gifts, RedTail Art, Lee Zabin and many more. Performing at the Trade Feast will be Red Voice Drum, Unole Drum, Sonoma County Pomo Dancers, Kalpulli Anahuak Aztec Dancers, Hula Manu O’o Dancers and Hoop Dancer Eddie Madril. There will be Miwok songs and stories, basketry demonstrations, regalia making, shell bead drilling, children activities, book sales and tours of the Museum. Vendors: No drop-in vendors will be allowed; all vendors must apply and be pre-approved. Drop-ins will be asked to leave. Priority given to previously participating vendors and space is limited.
