Please note seating for this event is currently at capacity. This event will also be broadcast live through Livestream and NCAI will be hosting a watch party at the Capital Hilton where the NCAI 2019 Executive Council Winter Session will be taking place that week. 

NCAI President Jefferson Keel will be giving the State of Indian Nations on the morning of February 11, 2019 at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. All attendees are invited by the Newseum to tour the museum immediately after the address. Passes are not required. For more information and for past President speeches, click here.

Please note this event will be available Monday, February 11 for livestream starting at 10:30am (EST), and for later viewing through the month of February.

Parking
The Newseum has a garage underneath their building. The cost is $12/hour or $20 for over an hour up to a full day. Additional parking is at 601 Pennsylvannia Ave NW. The cost $17/hour or $27/daily. For more information click here.

NCAI President Jefferson Keel will give the State of Indian Nations on February 11, 2019 at Knight Studios in the Newseum. Directly following the event, NCAI's Executive Council Winter Session will kick off on Monday afternoon at the Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C.

Members of the media interested in covering the State of Indian Nations and/or Executive Council Winter Session must RSVP by February 4, 2019 using this form. If you have any questions please email NCAIpress@ncai.org. Due to limited seating, please individually register each person on your team planning to attend. (Reporters, camera persons, etc.)

Space is limited in the Knight Studio and we highly recommend all press register early to ensure a spot in the press pool.

Jefferson Keel serves as the 22nd President of the National Congress of American Indians (NCAI), the oldest, largest and most representative American Indian and Alaska Native tribal government organization in the country. President Keel was elected on October 2017 at NCAI’s 74th Annual Convention to serve a third nonconsecutive term as President of NCAI.
