Native Trade Conference

About the Event:

International trade and international relations are not new concepts to the indigenous peoples of the world. Native Nations in the western hemisphere once had expansive trade networks that extended from Canada to South America. Those trade networks were disrupted during European contact and laid dormant ever since. This conference brings together indigenous leaders and experts in various fields to answer one question: how can indigenous peoples use the global trade model to revitalize trade networks domestically and internationally? Join the discussion on March 23 at the Casino del Sol Resort, and on March 24 at the University of Arizona, James E.
