Congressman Ruiz is pleased to announce that he will host a roundtable discussion on environmental justice in Indian Country.

Topics for discussion include:
- Environmental injustice in Native American communities
- Challenges faced in mitigating environmental impacts
- Ways to collaborate with the broader environmental justice community
- Legislative solutions such as increased funding, tribal set-asides for specific Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) programs, and expansion of the Bureau of Indian Affairs “638” Self-governance contracts to allow tribes to plan and administer EPA services, programs, and activities on tribal lands
