About the Event:
In 1969, The American Indian Society (AIS) held its first American Indian Inaugural Ball and formed its first parade unit which marched in the Presidential Inauguration of Richard Nixon. Every inauguration year since then, AIS has hosted the American Indian Inaugural Ball, bringing together nearly 4,000 individuals from native organizations and tribes from across the continent and Alaska and Hawaii.

On Friday evening a reception will be held in the bin1700 lounge at the
Crystal Gateway Marriott. This unique lounge offers cozy seating and a bar with live entertainment provided by our sponsoring group.

Inaugural Ball Pow Wow
On Saturday we hold our Inaugural Ball Pow Wow in the Grand Ballroom of the
Crystal Gateway Marriott with Ralph Zotigh and The Zotigh Singers and The Boyz.
All are welcome, no entry fee. Join us for a Gourd Dance in the afternoon and Grand Entry
in the early evening. Our vendor and exhibit hall will be open.
