\n The AFN Convention is the largest representative annual g athering in the United States of any Native peoples. Delegates are elected on a population formula of one representative per twenty-five Native reside nts in the area and delegate participation rates at the annual convention t ypically exceed 95 percent. Policy guidelines and advocacy statements are s et by the dozens of resolutions passed by voting delegates at the Conventio n. Each year\, the AFN Convention draws some 6\,000 attendees. The proceedi ngs are broadcast live statewide via television and radio and webcast to 70 countries worldwide. In addition to the memorable keynote speeches\, the e xpert panels and special reports\, the Convention also features several eve nings of sell-out cultural performances known as Quyana Alaska. The AFN Con vention is also known for its popular Alaska Native Customary Art Show\, re nowned as one of the best places to find Alaska Native and Native American artwork. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend as observers.
